There is a large amount of species worth saving in bellingham that are in a lot more danger than most of the residents here realise.
Bellinghams demographics have drastically changed. People saying they like the outdoors now are often people who disrespect the shit out of it and its wildlife population. ITS SAD. Its worse than sad though. Its really had bad impacts and people are killing everything left and right like they dont know how to live on planet earth and shouldnt be here at all. WHAT HAPPENED TO BELLINGHAM??
***CRY****
this is Seagull, whom I get up in the morning to feed tuna. he is a great little dude. He was happy to do a photo shoot with me this morning. he had about 15 pictures taken. This is his winter color on dec/2024
All of our seagull population has been being killed off at an alarming rate(glaucous gulls), and its not just bellingham, though bellingham is extremely significant, its many towns in western washington. I used to do alot of traveling around the upper areas of western washington, living outdoors, theres been a drastic change in the types of people moving here, especially in the I-5 corridor. its not something to take lightly and the behavior of people on facebook is the most disgusting when you try to say anything about their welfare- even in pro-outdoor, or animal concerned groups. The seagulls we have in bellingham have a whole language system and tight nit families, specific housing situations, roofs that belong to specific gulls, neighborly communities, and different roles that they play with each other. when you kill them they will not just breed more like some factory farm chicken. When you kick them off your roof that they have been on for decades with previous owners- its a MASSIVE thing you are doing. Also, the food resources, Bellingham has had a massive change in how IDIOTS have been able to access and destroy all the food seagulls and marine animals eat. There has been no one to call or any way to stop idiots that dont come from here destroying everything.
They killed Candace.
Candace was the most special attentive, loyal, friendly seagull you could possibly meet. I knew her for a few years. She was one of the last of her kind on the bottom half of the hill and known by all the seagulls. I dont know how to describe it, but she was head of the show. She was also by far the loudest. you could hear her way up the hill if she was at the bottom by the water. She was the most special girl. could belt out calls that were nearly musical like some kind of Aguilera gull, you could actually see the movement in her stomach and she could yell looooong. There have been so many killed that I am not sure the neighborhood gull population will be able to pull through. The disgusting pieces of shit in our area have killed off the vast majority of the resident gulls. (the ones that dont migrate). the migrating ones wont be able to be brought up to speed without Candace either. Bellingham has REALLY FUCKED UP.
Just before Candace was killed, I had noticed that pk storm (fake account that slanders me on several social media sites) had written things about her- like how seagulls role in the ecosystem is to eat garbage, and other horrible crap that commonly spews out in her comments. Then my page "fairhaven seagulls" on facebook got notice that if I basically didnt take a post down that was from 6 months ago when I was hysterical that Candace could die because someone shoved a full size chicken bone in her throat and a person needed to remove it(I didnt write in the post, but had reason to believe it had been done in malice by the fake account people), that facebook would have to stop recomending my page. The next day, they had killed Candace. I found her dead. And the police nor anyone else in the city will likely do anything, especially if there are no witnesses or video of what happened.
Also before I forget- they erased alot of photos off my camera, including what few I had taken of Candace recently. They keep coming around at night, erasing my photography, hacking into my accounts, etc.
